Celestial Dragon Ring, Sterling Silver Fantasy Jewelry, Renaissance Dragon Ring

The energy of The Universe combines with an impressive dragon as they encircle your finger in this unique sterling silver fantasy jewelry ring. The name of the celestial dragon ring is Solfrei, meaning Fire of the Sun, and he combines his fiery energy with that of the sun, moon and stars. This is a large Renaissance dragon ring, balanced and comfortable to wear, suitable as a man’s ring and also for a woman’s index finger.

I started by creating a detailed pencil drawing to refine my idea, laying out the design of the piece of fantasy jewelry. I then begin to sculpt everything in wax, first by addressing the overall composition, then proportion and musculature of the individual, lastly overlaying all of it with detailing. This was a very time and labor intensive process; including facial expressions on the dragon as well as the sun & moon and applying the scales of the dragon one at a time. When sculpting was complete it was cast using the lost wax method in sterling silver. A patina was applied in two parts to give some areas a darker finish than others, providing for contrast and interest. Sometimes I am able to capture tints of blue and purple in the patina, the colors vary from piece to piece. This was followed by hand polishing and an application of Renaissance Wax to protect the finish and guard against tarnish.

The Solfrei Dragon Ring measures 1 ¼ inches tall at the widest portion on the face of the ring; it is available in US sizes 7 1/2–15, the metal is to wide to bend to a smaller size.

This ring is fantastic, the details are amazing and the design is great , it's a good size ring and so much detail all around the ring ,best dragon ring out there , this is awesome site love the dragon pendants and rings , this is my fourth piece from here and everything is incredible, I'm very happy with all of it and I definitely want a few more, the shop owner is very talented and very nice person, if you are into dragons and mystical creatures support this shop ,also forgot to mention that she had to size the ring and it still was delivered quickly
